Hello everyone! We are back. Things have been out of kilter this year so far, but we are starting to level out. We’ve got a few meetings and events coming up, so let’s get into it!
Meetings:
1. Study Group: Saturday, July 21, 2018 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Teach Darach (Oak House), 208 Oak Knolls S., Rockford, IL
We will get together and rehearse Lughnasadh, talk about plans for the Fall, and discuss some things about ritual structure and offerings. We will have a potluck. Please bring something to share, and your own drinks. If the weather is nice, we will be outside; if not, in my basement.
2. Grove Meeting: Monday, August 6, 2018 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Celebrations:
Lughnasadh: Sunday, July 29, 2018 10:00 AM to ?

This is the 8th year for our Lughnasadh celebration. Unlike previous years, however, we are not going to be at Espenschied Forest Preserve. With the way the weather has been going, and the number of people in our community that have heat issues due to health or medications, this year we will be holding our celebration at my place. Games and competitions yet TBD, but we will have something fun.
Please bring a lunch and chairs just in case.
The dinner will be potluck, but burgers/dogs will be provided. Contact me about what you can bring so we can have a great gathering (and have an idea of how many there are).
Grove members: Please arrive early (9:00 AM) so we can get in a quick Member’s Meeting.
The ritual will be at 4:00 PM. The Deities of the Occasion are Lugh Long Arm, Samhildanach, the All-Skilled, and the
Morrigan, Battle-Crow, Washer at the Ford. The ritual is an ADF-style Core Order, with time available for offerings.
