On Saturday February 4, 2017, the Sinnissippi Tuath Grove, ADF, will celebrate Imbolc with a Community healing Rite in an Irish Celtic Hearth culture. All are welcome to come!
We will be celebrating the feast of Brigid, Goddess of the Fire, Forge, and Healing Wells. We will also honor An Daghda Mor, Brigid’s father, God of Druids, All Father, and God of Plenty.
We will also have time for you to make offerings to your own deities. However, we are moving on a much tighter schedule on this one.
Schedule:
4:00PM – Site opens
4:15PM – Pre-Ritual Briefing
5:00PM – Ritual, done in an ADF style
7:00PM – Tear down and load out
7:30PM – Site Close
7:45PM – Potluck Feast and Party at Teach Darach (208 Oak Knolls South, Rockford)
Come and Feast With Us After the Rite
Our potluck feast will be after the celebration, at Oengus’ house (Teach Darach, 208 Oak Knolls South, Rockford).
From the church, take Dawn up to E. State St, turn right. Continue on E. State St. until you cross Fairview (there is a gas station there, and across the street from it is Imperial Palace). Watch on the left – between the high rise and the church is 29th Street. Turn left there. When you get to the park (less than a block), turn right (street becomes Oak Grove). Go over the hill – at the bottom is Oak Knolls. Turn left, we are the first driveway on the left side, brown house with white garage door.
If you have a dish that you would like to drop off, you can drop it off at Teach Darach before you arrive at the ritual that day.
